Ena Jansen van Vuuren

Nurse Practitioner

I immigrated with my family from South Africia in 2008 and have been living in Blenheim since.

I worked as a registered nurse in the children’s ward at Wairau hospital and completed my Master’s Degree in Nursing Science at Victoria University’s School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Practice, during that time. I started working as a practice nurse in general practice in 2016 and went on to complete my Nurse Practitioner Training at Auckland University in 2018.

I have been working as a Nurse Practitioner in primary health since.

I am passionate about my role as Matanga Tapuhi in general practice. I support people in improving their health and navigating the health care system. Patient education and shared decision making is an integral part of my practice.

I am married with two adult children both of whom live in Blenheim. I am passionate about my knitting and spinning and all things fibre.

I look forward to meeting you at The Practice.

Di Williams

Nurse Practitioner

As a Nurse Practitioner since 2007, I am passionate about my role and making a positive impact on people’s lives. I’ve lived and worked in Marlborough since 2015 and am excited to join the nurse-led team at The Practice on Francis Street.

With over 35 years of experience in healthcare across both the North and South Islands, my background includes public and rural health, urgent care, Māori health, occupational health, and extensive experience in men’s, women’s, and family health. I’ve had the privilege of mentoring many nurses and Nurse Practitioner interns, guiding them into innovative roles.

I also served as Conference Convenor for the NPNZ National Conference in Blenheim in 2019 and spent 10 years on the NPNZ Executive Committee. Additionally, I have taught as an associate tutor for both Auckland University and EIT.

I am committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care and am excited to continue serving the Marlborough community.

Practice Nurse

I grew up in Indianapolis , Indiana, USA. Training to receive my Baccalaureate in Nursing in May of 1999.

I moved from Indianapolis to Roxburgh, Central Otago in 2004 with my husband, Eric, and our three young boys ages 7, 5 and 4 months.

We stayed in Roxburgh for 10 years working at the rural medical clinic there and loved every minute of it. New Zealand is a very beautiful country.

We moved to Blenheim in 2014 and have enjoyed living and working here since that time.

I enjoy cooking, gardening, hiking, travelling, and of course being a nurse.

I look forward to welcoming you to The Practice and getting to know each other better.

Catherine Flanagan

Registered Nurse Prescriber

I graduated from Wellington Polytechnic with a Bachelor of Nursing in 1997. Prior to this I trained and worked for a short time as a health Social Worker. A desire to expand on my skills and knowledge in health lead to a career in nursing.

I have worked in general practice since 2000, in Christchurch and in Blenheim since 2002. In 2022 I completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Nursing Science from the University of Victoria in Wellington.

Working in general practice and getting to know patients and their extended family is a great privilege. I am looking forward to building new relationships at The Practice.
